What doesn’t kill you reminds you that you are human
Besides the praised uniqueness of each individual, there is an identical element in everyone which creates a well-defined pattern. Convulsions. Whether we feel them at night, before going to sleep, in sleep, during the day or when we have to take a decision or postpone it, when we think about a person or run from an idea, there is a shudder of poisoned essence in the human being.
We incline to believe that the poison is in the air, water or food, we invest in products that sell the illusion of purity. Shops under the aegis of “Wealth and Immortality” come out of the blue, the fear of alteration is extensively exploited in the industry of emotions and while we infer our features beneath gas masks, the human poison struggles and gets through us.
In the ward in which we are all waiting for our medicines is on Dr. Strangelove or how I’ve learnt not to worry and love the atomic bomb. Suddenly, we have convulsions. Purity and toxicity mutually define. Our flaws, our fetishes are the catalyzers of authenticity. Regarding to this, the disposition to luxury and an extravagant lifestyle can be considered infections of the spirit, but as well they justify human nature, which bows to the esthetic just because it exalts the soul. We are humans. In October we love and watch again Kubrick.
