Vans is releasing Yellow Submarine shoes in collaboration with The Beatles!

The sportswear and shoes brand Vans announces an extraordinary collaboration with the legendary band The Beatles. This will materialize in March by the release of a capsule collection of four Vans Classics shoe models, printed with images and colors from the Yellow Submarine album cover. Being based on the song composed by John Lennon and Paul McCartney, the movie Yellow Submarine is a fantastic story about love, peace and hope, a perfect combination between quality music and art. In 1986, when it was released, Yellow Submarine was considered a piece of art which used for the first time revolutionary animation techniques.

The Vans Sk8-Hi shoes were printed with the portraits of the four members of the band, and the model Classic Slip-On redeems a subaqueous scene all over the surface of the shoe if it’s looked at from left to right. The sports shoes Era and Authentic present an image with the whole band by the print “All you need is love”. All the components of the shoes, from lace to sole, have inscriptions or images related to the legendary band, including the box which can become a collection piece.

This year it will be 50 years since The Beatles made their first appearance at The Ed Sullivan Show. To commemorate this moment, CBC, The Recording Academy and AEG Erlich Ventures present on February 9 the show “The Night That Changed America: A GRAMMY Salute To The Beatles” in which top artists will perform songs of the famous British band. The Vans capsule collection will be released worldwide on March 14 and it will be available in the V generation store from Afi Palace Cotroceni.
