The necklace is made of a 40.63 carat heart-shaped ruby surrounded by 155 carats diamonds. This ruby comes from Burma and what makes it so special is its size because usually these rubies weigh only a few carats. Its red blood color is also very appreciated.

The necklace can also be worn as a tiara.

Garrard & Co, the brand that created the necklace, is the oldest jewelry company in United Kingdom and it was the Crown Jeweler for more than a century.
