Now you see me, now you don’t

No, it’s not the movie, but it still may be magic to many of us in the world of today. Many people try to match their body with their lifestyle: either exuberant or shy, it still needs to be regular. What not as many people are aware of is the contribution of modern technology that has reached a peak where it integrates seamlessly into our bodies.

Today, everyone uses a smartphone. We embraced technology and welcomed it into our lives. But when it comes to reshaping our body, why do we still go through starvation, diet pills and exhaustion? Why don’t we go to technology and what it can do for us? And when we do, why don’t we trust it fully?

We went out to find what people think about technology when it comes to interfering directly with their bodies and found out that “body reshaping is something delicate. I do not want to harm my health – I am not satisfied with my body fully, I would like to have slimmer thighs, but I want to get there by traditional techniques” as Eglantina Becheru says. The following day, we took Eglantina to visit Luxuria, a wellness center in Bucharest and had one of their beauty experts explain the technology they have at their facility. She was advised to try a session of LipoLaser.

LipoLaser is a technology we liked to call “now you see me, now you don’t” because it makes fat cells disappear – instantly. It does that by bringing a selected area close to a laser fascicle that goes under the skin cells, detects the fat cells and melts them down. The fat cells are then naturally eliminated by the body, without any pain and in just half an hour. The procedure is guaranteed to have no side effects and immediate results – a patient loses from one to three centimetres right after the laser was applied. The body afterwards continues to eliminate cells up to five centimeters and smoothens the skin cells.

Eglantina went home more confident and started to welcome technology in the aid at the search of a better body. But what about the rest of the people? What about the people that restrain themselves because they are misleaded by the internet or by conceptions from the past?

Well, we can just do our best in informing people about the truth and hope that technology such as LipoLaser will become as famous as the place that put up the sign saying “come and try the worst pizza one guy on TripAdvisor has ever had”.
