Idole de Lubin – anachronic sensuality
There are perfumes that talk about faraway countries, about cultures from the other pole, which are defined and define the idea of power or fragility. Idole de Lubin makes me think of a song: Les Negresses Vertes- Face a la mer. Inexplicable, but its notes generate an anachronic sensuality, very mysterious, which embeds world’s yin and yang, feminine and masculine.
The authenticity of this perfume stays in the modern and feminized reinterpretation of the 2005 version, as well a special reinterpretation of the homonym perfume which appeared in 1962. Having a women-shaped encasement, Idole de Lubin can be worn by women as well as by men. The bottle design is made by Serge Mansau in contribution to Lubin Studio and it’s brought at the essence of luxury by simple lines which don’t come under any trend, but they set one.
The wood liqueur and the spices, the leather, the red sandalwood which array in doum palm notes, smoked ebony and sugar cane only to let themselves shrouded in superior notes of saffron, bitter orange and black cumin make up a fire for the olfactory senses through which we can distinguish the first woman and the first man. There is something savage in Idole de Lubin which makes you want it. Have it. Be it.
Idole de Lubin can be found in Beautik Haute Parfumerie.
